What types of parking lots are available?

Official airport parking lots

There are 5 parking lots.

The P2 parking lot, ideal for short-term parking, is accessible 24 hours a day.
It is designed for quick stops, with a maximum duration of one hour.
This parking lot has 147 spaces, two of which are specially designed for disabled people.
It is directly connected to the terminal building and offers a fast charging station for electric vehicles, with dedicated spaces.

Parking lot P1 located in the immediate vicinity of the terminal, is a premium long-term parking facility, fully covered and open 24 hours a day.
The parking lot offers 2,100 spaces, 480 of which can be reserved in advance, as well as 30 spaces for the disabled on level -1, where there are also three electric vehicle recharging points.
Along with P20, it is one of the most expensive parking lots.

Parking P20 is a covered long-term parking lot with 214 non-reservable spaces, and is open from 5:00 am to 11:30 pm.
It is only accessible from France, via the customs road near Ferney-Voltaire customs.
It has six disabled parking spaces, located on the lower level near the terminal access doors.

Parking P51 is designed for long-term parking and is open 24 hours a day.
Located 500 meters from the main terminal, it is one of the most affordable, like P26, due to its distance from the terminal.
P51 offers 1,100 spaces, of which 290 are reservable, with two spaces per floor reserved for the disabled and three for electric vehicles.

The P26 parking lot, also long-term and covered, is located beneath Geneva Arena and is accessible 24 hours a day.
This parking lot has 760 spaces, 250 of which can be reserved, as well as 20 disabled parking spaces on levels -1 and -3.
Level -1 also has 13 spaces for recharging electric vehicles.

Private parking lots

The first private parking lots on the outskirts of Geneva airport emerged in the 2000s, in response to the growing demand for more economical and flexible alternatives to official parking lots, particularly for travellers wishing to park their vehicles for longer periods.

Located at a slightly greater distance from the airport, these parking lots have grown in number over the years.

With this expansion, the services offered have diversified:

  • shuttles,
  • online booking options,
  • services such as vehicle washing or maintenance in the absence of the owners.

Today, some fifteen private parking lots rival the official Geneva-Cointrin parking lots.

How do you choose the ideal parking lot for your car?

Terminal proximity

Proximity to terminals is a key criterion, especially if you’re in a hurry, have bulky luggage or are traveling with children or people with reduced mobility.

If this is your main concern, the P1 parking lot remains one of the best options, as it is the closest to the boarding terminal.
This convenience comes at a cost: the P. is the most expensive of all the parking lots.

That said, don’t forget to consider private parking lots with shuttle buses, which take you quickly from the parking lot to the terminal.
For example, Parking Cointrin offers a free shuttle service that drops you off at the airport in just 3 minutes, saving you the trip on foot.

Safety and surveillance

It’s important to be well informed before making your choice.
Here are some key questions to consider:

  • Is the parking lot equipped with 24-hour video surveillance?
  • Are there staff on hand to provide surveillance?
  • Is the parking lot well fenced?
  • Is it covered?

Parking Cointrin can answer yes to every one of these questions!

Rates and services included

To illustrate, let’s make a comparison between the P1 premium parking lot and the Cointrin parking lot:

  • 4 days: CHF 90 for Parking Cointrin vs. CHF 128 for P1.
  • 1 week: CHF 120 for Parking Cointrinvs. CHF 197 for P1.
  • 2 weeks: CHF 190 for Parking Cointrin vs. CHF 407 for P1.

Here is also a list of the services offered by each parking lot.

Parking Cointrin

  • Seat reservations
  • Free, fast shuttle (3 minutes)
  • Interior, exterior and complete vehicle cleaning service
  • Visual inspection of vehicle on arrival
  • Valet parking

Additional benefits and services

Our priority is to offer you an exceptional parking experience.
To achieve this, we offer additional services that you won’t find in the official Geneva Airport parking lots, or in some other private parking lots.

First and foremost, our free shuttle bus transports you efficiently between the parking lot and the airport terminals.
and offers two advantages:

  1. This service is free, unlike some private parking lots such as BibiPark, which charge CHF 30 for the shuttle.
  2. This service is very fast, as our shuttle takes you to the airport in just three minutes, while BibiPark’s takes around 8 minutes.

Parking P51 is the furthest away from the terminals, and doesn’t even offer a shuttle service.
